How to Make Plants Healthier
All those who love gardening treat the plants in the garden as their own babies. They sow the seeds, provide them with nourishment, watch them germinate and then blossom into full grown plants. If you are one of those people, you will want to take the best care of your plants. Here are some tips.
The idea is to provide the plants with the best nutrients without spending a lot of money. You can easily do that with a lot of things available at home. For instance, when you boil the vegetables to cook them, make sure that you do not throw the water away. Instead, let it cool down to room temperature and then pour it on the garden soil. This water is especially good for the potted plants. In fact, this water is quite good for the human beings too.
Not a lot of people would know this, but the seedlings are best sowed in the citrus peel. So the citrus peel could be the first abode of the seedlings. Once the plant has grown a bit and is ready to be moved, transfer it to the pot or container. Make sure that you dig a hole at the bottom of the peel to allow drainage.
Place a coffee filter at the bottom of the pot. While watering the plant in the pot a lot of soil gets wasted during the drainage. It also leaves the area under the pot unclean. The coffee filter will let the water drain but keep the soil intact.
